Q. I really really want to sing with you. How do I join?

A. To join one of our groups, sign up on this page. We’ll aim to onboard you at the start of one of our terms (January - April - September), but spaces get filled up very fast, so it’s best to sign up as early as possible (like, now).

Q. DO I need to audition?

A. At your trial rehearsal, you will be assessed in a small group of existing choristers, to ensure you can sing in tune, and match our learning pace. Our vocal arrangements are just that little bit challenging, so we can all learn, develop our ear, and sound enchantingly amazing.

Q. Do I need to be able to read music?

A. All the repertoire is taught by ear. However, since you will be joining one of our existing groups who already know a good bank of repertoire; you will be expected to learn fast. Previous choral or instrumental experience is definitely a plus.

Q. What’s the repertoire list?

All kinds of wonderful repertoire from your favourite fictional universes! Attack on Titan, Persona 5, Metal Gear Solid, Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games… we’ve got a song in store for everyone (especially if you like post-apocalyptic scenarios).

We learn and perform both existing and new, RS1-bespoke arrangements of nerdy songs.

Q. How much does a choir weekly session cost?

A. RS1 membership is priced at the perfectly reasonably affordable cost of £12 per two-hour session. That’s the average price for a London choir / hobby. (puts shiny smug hat on) However. We’re not average.

That’s also cheaper than: a drunk Deliveroo pizza, getting your nails done on one hand, an IPhone charger, a house.

You sign up and pay for all 12 sessions in a term, through a monthly Direct Debit of £36 (which is equal to three sessions, so you pay each 12-week term over four months).

Your trial session is half price! Hat is thrown in air.

Q. How many friends will I make?

A. We cap each of the Ready Singer One groups at 56 singers. So that’s, like, at least two new friends.

Q. When can my parents/lover/dog hear us?

A. We have many many exciting concert opportunities (BBC Radio! Comic Con!). Check dates here or sign up to our mailing list for juicy (why is that even a word) updates!

Q. is this legit?

A. You mean, despite the possibly sarcastic, definitely over-the-top writing style of this website? How dare you. Yes, Ready Singer One is London’s nerdiest choir, for real. Since the 26th of February 2020. Stalk our Facebook or Instagram for real virtual people.

Q. Is there anywhere else i can do the exact same thing?

A. Not to our knowledge - we really ARE the nerdiest choir around. The closest you’d have to go is Spa, Belgium, where Jim runs World of Warblers.

Q. I’m not free on Mondays nor tuesdays nor Wednesdays. why do you bestow me with such sadness?
